NAME: Belita (spanish name meaning beautiful)
BREED: Rare!!! Azteca "A" (third generation Azteca - 5/8 Andalusian, 3/8 Quarter Horse - Pura Raza Azteca)
COLOR: peanut butter dun with black points
SIRE: Kianto, 1998 Black PRE Andalusian - Many championships in conformation and best movement - wins in dressage suitability and doma vaquera. Most notable accomplishment includes International Andalusian/Lusitano Association's 2003 National Champion Andalusian Senior Stallion awarded by the Spanish Judge for the PRE (Pura Raza Espanola) Class based on both conformation and functionality and 2004 IALHA National Champion Get of Sire. Kianto only has three foal crops and they are already showing and winning conformation and best movement championships. Kianto is owned by Ami MacHugh, Jackass Mountain Andalusian Farm. DAM: Amatista is a 1997 peanut butter (yummy but true) dun/buckskin Azteca "C" mare bred by Raindance Aztecas. She is by my Champion black Mexican approved Azteca "D", Azabache, and out of the best mare that ever owned me - a cutting, reining bred old foundation dun/buckskin AQHA mare registered as Docs Date O' Miss. POTENTIAL: Unlimited potential in capable, experienced hands. This lovely, sweet filly comes from a line of proven athletes. She already shows the awesome movement of her sire. My Aztecas were bred according to Mexico's standards to be beautiful, correct, versatile, good minded athletic horses. Belita should have the capability to perform well in most all the popular events of the day - dressage, doma vaquera, pleasure, exhibition, halter, cattle work, driving, etc. She may also become a serious Azteca breeder's dream horse. Belita is the culmination of my decade long Azteca breeding program which I took very serious and followed Mexico's guidelines focusing on quality rather than quantity. Belita already presents great quality and presence even at this young age. One of the few pure Aztecas in the United States today, she should cross well with Azteca A stallions to produce more pura raza Aztecas extraordinaire! Her particular color of dun has a 75% chance of being passed to her offspring when crossed with any color stud other than a homozygous grey.
